Remember the Word?

Remember the word of the week? ENDURE? Well, the devil loves to challenge us when we decide to make an effort to be better. I have been hit at every turn this week and by golly it's Friday tomorrow and I will Endure and I will out last!!!
Please pray for my children that disappointment will not be lasting and that bumps in the road are just that...bumps. God never sets us up to fail and his plans are so much better than our own.

Had a great errand running time with just Levi. He and I can be down right silly when we want to. I really enjoyed our time together. He even helped me pick out a dress for sissy. She has another Semi-formal affair at school. No worries...Von Maur to the rescue. I found her a beautiful black dress and it's so classic looking. She will love it. I actually bought her 2 dresses because I got one for $23 instead of $90. I love when that happens.

Today was a beautiful day despite the bit of turbulence I felt throughout the day. So tomorrow night I will say goodbye to October and Welcome November with open arms and mind.

Talk to Me Tuesday

http://tipjunkie.blogspot.com/2008/05/im-tip-junkie.html Things to give at Christmas. I love the little rice bags for everyone but my daughter loves giving these to friends with a sleeping mask. The quilt toppers are just fun and everyone loves them.

Working Hands Stinky Pictures

I worked hard today getting stuff ready to take to booth 43. I love these word frames and I wish the picture was better they really are neat. The bags have tags and 6 bags each in them, great for goodies. This will be my last month for my booth and I hope to have a shop site available soon.

Word of the Week...ENDURE

So beautiful women out there our word this week is Endure.
Mr Webster states that to endure is to hold out, to continue to exist, suffer patiently...to last!
So let that be our theme this week. Whether it be the economy , your marriage, your children , your job, your health, weight, friend, neighbor, school, dinner, etc. Let's endure it all and pray for better days. I feel powerful just saying it. I will endure what comes my way this week.

God tells us in 1 Chronicles 16:34 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, his love endures forever.

Now theres some hope ladies. Make this a great week and remember whatever comes at you ...ENDURE.

Call it monster mix, Santa's snack mix , white trash whatever you like and know it makes a lot and it's yummy. I love doing it as a little goodie for teachers and friends.
1 box crispix cereal
1 bag pretzel sticks
1 jar of regular or honey roasted nuts
1 block of white candy coating or almond bark sometimes I use 2.
(I have also started adding some cinnamon )

mix together and add the melted chocolate. Lay out on wax paper to set. Bag it up and make a cute tag. You are done and friends will want this recipe.

Mess = Goodies

Sometimes you have to have a mess to get to the good stuff.

Here's the good stuff. Pumpkin butterscotch bread, monster cookies, monster mix and bags and tags of goodies.

Life is that way to sometimes. You know a mess and you have to work through the yuck to get to the good stuff. God can help you do that. So if you're in a mess know that theres some good stuff that can come your way.

Jeremiah 29:11 11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Time to Go

Seems like we just left this place and now it's time to go back. Our girl goes back to school today and it's been a wonderful visit. She got her hair done, went to a hog roast, got to attend church and enjoyed warm nights by the fire. It was nice being all together again. So pray for her that she conquers Chemistry and pray for me that I survive saying goodbye, again!! The bonus to taking her back is the beautiful drive. Yes, it's 4 hrs but it's truly beautiful.
Enjoy your day!!

Road Trip

Guess where we are going tomorrow? Yep , after 4 long weeks it's time to go get our girl. Hubby took the day off and the boys have a 1/2 day of school and we are heading south. It's going to be such a beautiful drive and we are going to take them to Clifty Falls State Park. The trees are going to be gorgeous. Got the boys a couple of movies from Redbox and they will be content for the 4 hour trip. I have missed our girl so much and I am so excited to have her home for a couple of days. I always try to concentrate on the times we're together not the times we're apart.

Please pray for our journey.

Spiritual Harvest

Spiritual Harvest Gathering

What a delightful day I had. It was amazing to see how many women came to this little church in the country. I was not familiar with the area and it was just beautiful. It was a a lovely drive and to see all the fields ready for harvest, it just got me all excited about their gathering. I truly loved speaking to this group of ladies. They were all ages and all in different places in their lives but all came out to fellowship and share their love for Jesus. They made me feel so welcome and appreciated. My mom and I stayed for lunch and enjoyed their company so much. I loved speaking at this church and I hope to go back again someday. I pray they are blessed !!

Speaking Gig

Well, my speaking gig is tomorrow and I am so excited to share what God has put on my heart. He has given me a beautiful day to prepare and what better way to do that then with this song. I hope you will take a minute and sing it, read the words and say them out loud. Even if you can't sing God says you are music to his ears. As I prepare for my weekend I hope you will take the time to reflect on what God needs you to do this weekend. Is there someone you need to touch with some Jesus love? Do you need forgiveness or do you just need to feel his presence. Oh my sisters he makes things so much better.

PS Don't forget to turn off my music.

This Guy Loves Football

This guy loves football and this is his first year playing for school and he has loved it. Last night was the last home game and he got injured a couple of weeks ago and still couldn't play. He was so bummed. He is so disciplined when it comes to this sport. He is awesome and we are so proud. Now bubby on the other hand was done with football and we are now getting ready to start Tennis season with him. Coach says he's a natural...who knew?

It's so important to let our children try new things. Just like it's important for us to not get stuck. We need to try new things too. Every New Years Eve we write down things we did this past year that were a first. It's so exciting to see what we have accomplished. Try new stuff it gets your momentum going.

Treasures

Treasures

I found some treasures yesterday. Purely by accident but I got the chairs for $5 each and they are sturdy and comfortable. I want to redo them but just not sure how yet. The sofa table $8 and it's in really good shape too. God truly blessed me yesterday. I think I skipped to the car. My friend Julie found all kinds of cute treasures for Connor. She was a bargain babe. I must tell you it is great having a DVD player in your car. Connor was able to relax and watch Elmo and Miss Tina was able to sing along and make a complete fool out of herself. I got caught doing the hokey pokey in the car. That gal looked at me like why is that crazy woman behind the wheel? I told her I truly had a toddler in the back...I don't think she believed me. Yesterday was a beautiful and fun filled day. I love having good friends!!

Fabulous Friday

Well, I am going it alone this weekend. All my boys are going to the lake. I wanted to go but I need to stay home and get ready for my speaking gig next weekend. One thing I know about God is I can think I'm ready to share and I'll be all organized and memorized and then WHAM...the Holy Spirit speaks to me. So I will take this weekend to pray, prepare and be open to Gods plans. It's going to be a little weird being here in this big house by myself. Don't think that has happened yet. I'd always have my girl or one of the boys. Once again I am having to grow up and be a big girl. So on this Fabulous Friday I will grow and be open.

What are you going to do?
